New Fleece Artist

It's no secret. We all love the Fleece Artist/Hand Maiden sock yarns.

So with that in mind, we decided to branch out and try some of their other yarns. This go around we've brought in two different lace weight yarns, Suri Blue and Silk Twist.

Suri Blue is a blend of 50% alpaca and 50% blue face leicester with a whopping 650 yards per skein.

Silk Twist is 437 yards of 65% wool and 35% silk.

On a closer look you can see the silk 'twist' in the strand.

Needless to say, the colors are gorgeous and can speak for themselves.

So if you're jonesin' for a lace project this summer, these yarns might be the something special you've been looking for. As noted above, both yarns pack quite a bit of yardage into a single skein so a couple should do ya.

Now
if you'd rather knit up a lightweight shrug/cardigan, these yarns would also work well for the Whisper Cardigan from the Spring issue of Interweave Knits.

This cardigan has a unique construction and would make a perfect summer project. I know a number of our staff think so.
